What we do now

When our house was required by the municipality for street widening in 1992, we no longer had the courage, given our age and health, to buy a house elsewhere and start all over again.

We went to live in an apartment and because we always believed that keeping dogs in a flat is not ideal, the two dogs we still had at the time, along with a large part of the kennels were passed on to good friends. After many years we were suddenly without dogs…

Fortunately, my second hobby (for over 60 years) is collecting and figuring out pedigrees, breeding and show results. I am still working on this every day. Initially on maps and lists, but the last ± 20 years on the computer.

The listed registration numbers are not always the correct official numbers, because unfortunately I often had to use fictitious numbers. I do receive the official family tree and registration data from various European countries.

Finally, I would like to mention that, a few months after the foundation of the current “Collie Club” in 1965, I was included in the board and had a seat on it until 1978. After these thirteen years, I was the first to be named “Honorary Member” and I have been so for more than 40 years now, and have always been very proud of it!
